This website was created to raise funds for the The U.S. Naval Academy Intercollegiate Flight Team(USNAIFT).
The USNAIFT does not receive funding from the government or from city funds. The funds required come from personal donations made from private donors like you.
The funds raised through this website particularly by selling magnets and raffle tickets will provide the funds needed to pay for the Midshipmen team members to prepare for their goal of placing first in the SAFECON Regional competition in their fall semester, thereby qualifying for their National competition.
The team also competes every spring in the Service Academy head-to-head competition against (USNA/USMA/USCGA) under NIFA rules and judging.
When you purchase a magnet or raffle ticket (to Win a Vacation in Key West) you are helping the team to have the funds that will allow them not only to fly as a competitive team, but to broaden their aviation knowledge and skill sets and to spread their love of aviation with other members of the Brigade of Midshipmen. The team welcomes members who have achieved their private pilot license as well as those who have yet to experience the joys of aviation.
The funds we raise through the sale of magnets and raffle tickets will provide the funds to pay for such things as their flying time and the fuel necessary to pay for the Midshipmen team members to travel to the cities and states where they compete.
The team members are also required to fly three aircraft to each of their competitions and the remaining team members will need transportation, gas, tolls for travel. The team members may also need to pay for hotel rooms as you can image all of these expenses can be very significant.
When you purchase a magnet or raffle ticket you are supporting the U.S. Naval Academy Intercollegiate Flight Team so they are able to fly as a team and compete as as team.
